Escambia County’s 27 coaches earned an average salary of $68,385 in 2022, according to the U.S. Department of Education.

This is the 11th highest average salary per county earned by coaches at Florida post-secondary schools during 2022.

Escambia County is home to two post-secondary schools that paid coaches during 2022. Among them, Pensacola State College stood out with the highest average coaching salary of $70,026.

Male coaches of men's teams received $81,101 on average in Escambia County, while female coaches in charge of women's teams earned an average of $58,027.

Research from the Vanderbilt Owen Graduate School of Management found NCAA coaches are compensated like CEOs, with top coaches earning more than $1.5 million annually.
