Applications for the Emergency Mortgage Assistance Program are now closed.

Beginning in July 2022, Escambia County opened applications for EMAP. The program was designed to provide assistance for homeowners struggling to pay mortgages or utilities due to COVID-19.

The department oversees the Community Redevelopment Agency, Neighborhood Enterprise Division and the Safe Neighborhood Program. In addition, Neighborhood & Human Services administers the Youth Employment Program, Human Assistance Program, the Indigent Burial Program and various Community and Resource Centers. These divisions and programs help and serve more than 310,000 residents and businesses within Escambia County.
