The Ninth Avenue northbound bridge over Carpenter’s Creek is slated to open next week. Two travel lanes in each direction will be open when traffic is placed in the final configuration on Tuesday, Oct. 18.
Drivers will continue to encounter intermittent and alternating lane closures over the next month as crews place the final layer of asphalt and complete additional items.
The $4.3 million construction project has replaced the existing bridge on Ninth Avenue over Carpenter’s Creek. The new structure will accommodate two lanes of north and southbound traffic, along with new sidewalks adjacent to the travel lanes.
All construction activities are weather-dependent and may be rescheduled in the event of inclement weather.
