From now until Oct. 31, the Escambia County Department of Animal Welfare will offer free adoptions for all animals currently housed at the Animal Welfare and Adoption Center. Licensing fees will also be waived during this time. Adoption fees include spay or neutering services, microchips, heartworm tests and initial vaccinations including rabies vaccinations. The Escambia County Animal Welfare and Adoption Center, located at 200 W.
