10

Escambia County issued the following announcement on March 25.

Escambia County will host a career fair Saturday, April 23 from 8 a.m.-3 p.m. at the Pensacola Bay Center, located at 210 E Gregory St. The event is free and open to members of the public looking for a career with Escambia County. The event will take place in the Bay Center’s meeting space, located on the second floor.

During the event, potential candidates will have the chance to speak one-on-one with representatives from the county’s various departments including public works, corrections and mass transit, and will also be able to apply for jobs in-person at the career fair. Human resources employees will be available to share more information on all the benefits the county has to offer such as healthcare coverage, salaries, the $2,000 recruitment incentive, tuition reimbursement and retirement packages.

“We invite anyone looking to start a career to come out and see what’s available,” said Human Resources Director Crystal Dadura. “We’ve recently raised our salaries in several positions including corrections – making us one of the highest paid in northwest Florida – fire rescue and EMS. We’re also proud to offer an incredible benefits package with medical, dental and vision coverage; flexible spending accounts (FSA) and health savings accounts (HSA); an employee assistance program; a free employee health clinic; and free use of our county gyms. We hope you’ll join us at our career fair to learn more about what we offer.”
