City of Pensacola - Government issued the following announcement on July 31.
DANGEROUS HEAT CONTINUES today and Saturday with heat indices of 108-114°.
Excessive Heat Warning: southeast Mississippi, portions of southwest Alabama, northwest Florida.
Heat Advisory: portions of southwest/south-central Alabama.
Limit strenuous activity outdoors, especially between 10 a.m. and 7 p.m. both days. Protect yourself from the heat while working or playing outside. Drink plenty of water to stay hydrated, take breaks in the shade and apply sunscreen regularly
