New Wake Park Opens at OWA Welcoming First-Timers and Hobbyists Alike

Share the Stoke with Gravity Island Watersports’ Beginner-Friendly Get Up Guarantee

(Foley, AL) – Ready to welcome you for your next outdoor adventure are two water attractions from Gravity  Island Watersports. Located on a 14-acre lake in OWA’s Downtown entertainment district, the brand-new Wake Park is making a huge splash as the next development in watersports.

Designed by Pat Panakos and the Wake Park Project, this Wake Park is the first of its kind in Coastal Alabama.  The UNIT ParkTech features set it apart from the rest. Grab a board or a tube and get ready to #ShareTheStoke  at Gravity Island Watersports.

The Sesitec 2.0 two-tower cable system is over 700 feet long and will pull riders by rope and handle. The Sesitec  system does all the work for you. The cable passes through four UNIT Parktech features offering an extra  challenge for touring wakeboard professionals and the growing local scene.

Qualified instructors are able to guide and coach participants via a waterproof speaker attached to the safety  helmet. Gear is available to rent at the Starting Dock for an add-on to your session, or guests can bring their own.

Owner, TJ Allen, and operator, Kale Troha, offer instructions for every guest. Each of the qualified trainers can  guide beginners and first-timers on how to utilize the cable system to carve the water and even catch some  air. They will also coach dedicated riders looking to grow their skill to the pro level.

Crowds gathering for live music on OWA’s Island can now enjoy the mesmerizing talent on the water. Situated  amid countless annual festivals and outdoor events, the newly opened Wake Park is a must-try giving OWA  guests a new way to get stoked.

This new addition joins its sister park, the already popular Aqua Play by Union AquaParks, an inflatable obstacle  course in Lake OWA. Thrill seekers must be at least six years old and able to swim in order to qualify for a  session on the Wake Park or Aqua Play.

Downtown OWA is the destination for shopping, dining, and entertainment in Coastal Alabama. For more  information on Gravity Island Watersports and to book a session, head to GravityIslandWatersports.com
