CITY OF PENSACOLA: Residents Encouraged to Complete a Ferry Service Survey

Survey

City of Pensacola issued the following announcement on Oct. 6

Following Hurricane Sally, the Florida Department of Transportation recently announced that the recommended repairs to the damaged areas of the Pensacola Bay Bridge will take approximately six months to complete, weather permitting. Escambia County, the City of Pensacola and the City of Gulf Breeze are looking into alternative transportation efforts, such as the recently launched ECAT's Route 20 between the Pensacola Bay Center Park and Ride lot to the Tiger Point Community Center.

A survey has been designed by the University of West Florida's College of Business and the Haas Center to gauge the community's interest in ferry service between the cities of Pensacola, Gulf Breeze and Pensacola Beach. The survey will take just a few minutes to complete at: uwf.edu/ferryservice. A decision about ferry service will be made within the next couple of weeks, so please complete this survey as soon as possible this week.

In addition, please consider placing this QR code in offices and store fronts in affected areas.
