Cost of college went down for all students at the Fortis Institute-Pensacola

Tuition and fees fell 1.7 percent for 2018-19 at the Fortis Institute-Pensacola, according to recent data from the U.S. Department of Education.

Florida students paid $14,169 to attend the two-year private for-profit institution this year – $251 less than the $14,420 charged for 2017-18.

Data shows 93 percent of full-time undergraduates who started school in 2015-16 received student financial aid in some form. In all, 40 students received grants or scholarships totaling $235,940 and 35 students took out student loans totaling more than $270,341.

Including all undergraduates (572), 422 students used grants or scholarships totaling $1.9 million, and 376 students took out $2.7 million in federal student loans.
