42 percent of applicants to The University of West Florida were admitted for fall 2018

At The University of West Florida, 68 percent of undergraduate students are traditional students - age 24 or younger - and 57 percent are female, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The four-year public institution in Pensacola enrolled 12,847 students in fall 2018, including 9,733 in undergraduate and 3,114 in graduate programs, data shows. 14 percent of undergraduates transferred from another college or university.

88 percent of undergraduates are residents of Florida, and 10 percent are residents of other states.

The undergraduate student body is comprised mostly of students who identify as white (65 percent) and Black or African American (12 percent).

The school admitted 42 percent of the 5,707 students who applied for fall 2018. Of those who were admitted, 45 percent enrolled.
