About 23.6 percent of the 4,388 degrees and certificates handed out by The University of West Florida in 2017-18 were to students in liberal arts and sciences, general studies and humanities programs, making them the most popular programs that year, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The agency's National Center for Education Statistics shows the public institution in Pensacola conferred 1030 associate's degrees and 6 bachelor's degrees in liberal arts and sciences, general studies and humanities programs.

But the single most popular program was for a associate's degree in liberal arts and sciences/liberal studies. Data shows the school gave out 1030 associate's degrees in liberal arts and sciences/liberal studies, followed by 412 bachelor's degrees in registered nursing/registered nurse and 251 master's degrees in general educational leadership and administration.

The university enrolled 12,847 students for 2017-18, including 9,733 in undergraduate programs and 3,114 in graduate programs.
