Gulf Coast Health Care, LLC issued the following announcement on Aug. 13
This month, we’re celebrating National Health Center Week at Gulf Coast Health Care. This year’s theme is “Community Health Centers: Lighting the Way for Healthier Communities, Today and in the Future,” which is so timely given the unexpected challenges this year has brought us.
Not only is our staff devoted to providing our residents with the very best care, we’ve found a renewed sense of dedication for finding fresh and innovative ways to best care for our residents’ social, emotional, physical and spiritual needs as we navigate our new reality.
Spotlight on our staff
Throughout the last few months, our staff has humbled and surprised us time and again with their forward-thinking, creativity and passion for helping our residents live with good health and dignity each and every day. Below are just a few positions that work hand-in-hand to care for our residents and families:
- Registered Nurse (RN)
- Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
Our licensed practical nurses work as a team to provide a safe, effective and efficient care environment for our patients, relatives and careers. This often includes initiating treatment plans and administering medicines. Our LPNs are compassionate and dedicated to providing the very best care to our residents. They are the backbone of our centers. That’s why we wanted to take a moment to collectively appreciate their steadfast dedication, empathy, flexibility and attention to detail.
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)
If LPNs are the backbone of our centers, then our CNAs are our legs because we couldn’t move forward without them. These men and women are in constant motion, helping residents with everything from basic grooming and eating to dressing and exercising. They support nurses by ensuring patients are well cared for in between treatments and check-ups. They have also been instrumental in keeping our residents’ minds engaged with fun activities while they must be physically isolated to remain safe.
