Healthrecap

Baptist Health Care Corporation recently issued the following announcement.

Baptist Health Care and Brasfield & Gorrie will hold a meet-and-greet information session for specialty trade contractors and vendors on Thursday, March 12 from 4 to 6 p.m. at the Brownsville Community Center, 3200 West DeSoto St., Pensacola, Florida 32505.

Brasfield & Gorrie serves as general contractor for the new health care campus to be located at Brent Lane and I-110 in Pensacola.

The session will also include information about the upcoming maintenance, repair and overhaul hangar project at Pensacola International Airport.

The information session will give local and minority contractors and vendors the opportunity to learn more about the construction projects and engage in one-on-one conversations with representatives from Baptist and the project team. Those discussions will help match the needs of the projects with the resources available from local companies.

“From the outset of project planning, our intention has been to use, when possible, the skills and talents of local and minority companies in the construction of this new hospital because we know they are as invested in this community as we are,” said John Porter, vice president, corporate facilities and support services, Baptist Health Care. “We look forward to the opportunity to meet those who are interested in being a part of this project that will transform the delivery of health care in Northwest Florida. We are very pleased that we can broaden this gathering to include opportunities for the airport project.”
